Funeral Arranger – Crowthorne

Job Description

This is an opportunity to join a well established, medium sized privately owned funeral company.

The ideal candidate will be a well presented, courteous and respectful individual who will be a team player. The role will be customer facing, often dealing with clients coping in difficult times. You will offer an empathetic approach and a sympathetic understanding.

This role will offer a variety of responsibilities covering many different elements of the funeral industry; funeral arrangements, preparation beforehand, and on the day of the funeral working closely with our Funeral Directors and Management team to ensure we are able to provide a service of the highest standard. Works will also include office administration and day to day upkeep.

The normal working hours are 8:30 – 17:00 but you will also be expected to join our ‘out of hours’ rota for evenings and weekends.  These extra duties or any overtime is paid at enhanced rates.

The successful candidate will have suitable training for the role and in our company operating practices which are required to be maintained to the highest standard.

Requirements

• Good level of formal education
• Good level of communication and empathy
• References will be obtained
• Previous industry experience preferred but not essential
