The estimate of charges will also include a breakdown of the disbursements which we pay on your behalf. Third party fees typically include the Crematorium, Cemetery or Churchyard, Doctor’s Fees (if applicable) and a Minister or Celebrant who takes the service.
The different options we offer are a Direct Cremation, a Simple Cremation and our Tailored Funerals which is the preferred option for the majority of our clients.

Arranging a funeral can be an overwhelming task at a time when you may not be thinking clearly. We can provide you with practical and emotional support during this difficult time. Once you are ready to start making the funeral arrangements we are here to help. We would always recommend that this is done in person where possible, either at one of our offices or at your home; whatever is most convenient for you.
Getting help with the funeral cost
If you have problems financing a funeral, speak to the Department of Works and Pensions (DWP) immediately. This should be done before you confirm the funeral order with us. The DWP will only fund or contribute towards the cost of a funeral if the immediate family is unable to pay for the funeral and the potential claimants and their immediate family are in receipt of certain state benefits. The form required for making claims to the Department for Works and Pensions is SF200. This can be obtained by clicking on this link: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/funeral-payment-claim-form or from any DWP office, Job Centre or Citizen’s Advice Bureau.
Our Pre-paid Funeral Plans
Many people wish to provide for their own funeral. A Pre-Paid funeral plan is a caring, sensible and cost-effective way to do this. Our plans are administered in association with a network of Independent Funeral Directors throughout the UK. Funeral pre-payments are held in Trust Funds and are monitored by the Funeral Planning Authority.
The advantages of a Pre-Paid funeral plan:
- Choose your funeral arrangements, for your own peace of mind
- Save your family from having to make difficult decisions at such a difficult time
- Avoid rising funeral costs with an inflation-proof guarantee of the Funeral Director’s charges
- Financial security – the funeral payment is held in a Funeral Planning Trust Fund until needed
- The service will be provided by us
- No age limit and no awkward health questions
- Make a one-off payment or pay by monthly instalments, whichever suits you
- Our funeral plans comply with the Funeral Planning Authority Code of Practice and Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
